What is BOTOX?
BOTOX® is a muscle relaxant and neuromodulator used to address fine lines and wrinkles that have developed from muscle contractions. It eliminates wrinkles leaving the skin smooth. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a safe treatment that approved by the US FDA to help skin look better. The active ingredient is sterile and purified complex of botulinum toxin type A.
How BOTOX works:
A tiny BOTOX® injection temporarily reduces muscle activity to smooth out the appearance of lines and wrinkles. BOTOX® is injected into the muscle. The BOTOX® then blocks the signal from the nerves to the muscle resulting in the muscle no longer being able to contract.
